Morton Manufacturing Company is a leading manufacturer of slip-resistant walking surfaces for railcars, both for original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) and aftermarket repair customers. Morton also supplies OEM’s and aftermarket customers in the agricultural, heavy equipment and general industrial markets. Morton has several proprietary designs for each of its products. Morton services over 300 customers in a diverse set of end markets. The company’s products include a comprehensive selection of steel and aluminum safety grating channels, sheet, steps, ladder rungs, walkways, stair treads, running boards, break steps, end platforms and other custom products. Morton has a diverse set of process capabilities in its 164,000 sq. ft., state of the art manufacturing shop, including – forming presses, brake presses, punch/plasma Fab cutter, Laser cutter, fabrication / welding cells and a prime and finish paint line.
